my ducks foot is inflamed

When I soak I mix the warm water and Epsom salt in a bucket put the ducks or chickens down in feet first [both feet] much easier. And hold onto them for however long they will stay still. I have seen on youtube where people have cut the hole out of a bucket lid and placed this over the ducks head so they don't have to hold onto them and just let them soak. Our bakery section at our grocery has awesome buckets and lids for a dollar each. Frosting buckets.
hi lydia! I have a tallish bucket that i can keep her stood in, (no lid unfortunately) I've handled her a lot so she's not been upset with me holding her, she just wants to get out, especially when the other ducks toddle off. I've held her in there for just under half an hour, an hour ago. i intend to do the same again around 8pm (6 hours 45 minutes time), what do you think about this?

Your doing great.
it's hard to see on black feet but can you see a scab? is the area hot to touch
i have just checked, she has no scab, no cuts, no cracking, and i can check throughly as she is very calm with me (even when on her back). last night i put her (and my other 3) in the old dog crate last night after disinfecting the base with bleach, and then hosing it after. (i thought it would be easiest of they all went in together otherwise she wouldn't settle and would be trying to get out, she sad right down as she went in). the area is as warm as the rest of her foot, but it felt a lot warmer compared to her other foot. she seems to be pivoting better when turning, but still looks quite inflamed

Twice a day is probably good.
Is this a house duck?
she's one of 4 garden ducks, i've been hosing down poop whenever it starts to build, and if she needs to walk for water or food i carry her to the bowls as my presence or my picking her up doesn't startle her. I've not got her contained, as if i locked her up and not the rest I fear I would agitate her more than if i left her alone to sleep on the decking, grass, or wherever

Have you felt & compared her legs and ankles to each other? Felt for warmth coming from any specific area? If you manipulate her legs, feet, and all the way up to her hips, back and neck, does she act like anything is painful?
the foot thats inflamed definitely feels warmer than the other, but its the whole foot not just the inflamed area. shes very docile with me so she doesn't move much

Might be she broke or sprained it somehow? about the only way to know for sure would be an xray to see if broken. But your doing everything you can for her now as far as keeping her immobile and soaking. Resting and soaking are both good.
the positioning of her foot seems to be normal, theres an obvious swelling on her foot and its caused her to be a bit wobbly so i gave her some peas (when in doubt niacin), and she's able to stand on her good foot and scratch her head perfectly fine. it only occurred 18 hours ago and she's been in the bucket once. when do you imagine i should expect to start seeing improvements, (if this is the small treatable case of bumblefoot treatable by soaking)

Yeah, I would just soak her foot and keep an eye on her then. I had one that was limping. I just observed him - let him be unless it got worse. I figured he must have landed wrong. He healed up without intervention.
