My ducks love playing outside... until I walk away

Hi Everyone, so my Indian Runners are 6 weeks old, they have been sleeping outside for almost a week now. They love their house and pen attached, although as soon as I walk away they quack and go back in their house. I spend around 4-6 hours with them outside free roaming and in their pen and want them to confidently stay in their pen even when I am not around...
Any suggestions?

Hello They are still babies and everything is new to them. It will take a little time for them to get used to their new area and feel safe when your not around.

The kiddle pool is too big to fit through the pen door, so I have it out in the garden and they swim in it most days, they love it so much. I was thinking of getting them some colour laces, bells and hanging toys in their pen as they are always pecking at my trousers and shoe laces

Its 2x2 metres and a metre high, will expand another metre next year, its omlet products so pricey but fox proof
