we don't know why? But they are so so so cute i can not find my camera but when i do i will be sure to post them! None of them look the same they all have something different about them rather its beak color foot color or fluff color shades! We are so excited this is the first time with this many baby duckies & we didn't hatch them!

Questions!
1. Since momma has a crest will some of the babies?
2. when should i give momma access to the pool?
3. Will they be okay in the run with our Call Ducks?
4. Should we take them from her and raise them or just let her do it?
5. Do we need to just feed them chick starter feed? or is the scrath grain and laying pellets okay?

Here is Momma a crested something!

They have the genes for being crested passed on from the mum- so yes some of the babies should also have crests.

You should monitor access to a pool at this stage- as the babies may not be able to get out again- they will want to follow mum into the pool if she goes in.

They may or may not be ok- so ducks tollerate babies around- and some will attack them- Better to be on the safe side and seperate them into there own safe area if you want the mum to raise them. You could take them- But if mum if managing well on her own there is no need.
Non medicated chcik starter would be best for them- it has smaller pieces and more is easier to eat by such little ones.

Congratulations and Good luck with the ducklings
