My ducky story 2023

Today I started a incubation of 6 duck eggs.

To bring the story full circle. Last year I bought 6 ducklings from Rural King. 5 of them were male and 1 female (my favorite Fiona). I sold to a friend 3 of the males. So now I'm down to Jumbo, Max, Fiona. I got the bug and went about 4 months later and got 4 more. Hoping to get more females. Ugh! Only 2 of them were females. Now at this point I have Jumbo, Max, Fiona, Lucy, Bella, Puddles, Poppy. Well Mr. Fox cleared my backyard fence on the one and only night I was so sick on the couch I didn't wake up to put them to bed. Fiona was killed and the two extra new males. Now in the timeline... I'm at 4 again. 1 pair

of Rouen and 1 pair of Indian Runner brown and white. Only my female runner is laying. So now I've decided to try my hand at 6 babies in a incubator! I'm so excited to watch this process. Here are photos of my current flock.
Max and Lucy...Max is my chase all the other animals, especially my chihuahua.

Jumbo and Bella are the Rouens.

Awww so pretty the duckies are! So sad about the fox though, I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope your hatching eggs do well !!
