My EE has grown a mohawk!

here is a polish chick that i have hatched, dont remember that one having any kind of crest,

No...Lucy doesn't look at all like that. Her crest (if that's what it is) is so much narrower. I was looking at her just now and a lot of her feathers look weird...they are coming in on her back and are sticking up there, too. Maybe she has a little frizzle in her or maybe she is just weird! Can I ask where you got her egg from? If it is from a hatchery I'll do a little more research. Otherwise I will just let her grow up and see what happens!

At first glance I thought your mohawkian chick was TINY!!
The first pic looks like 2 fingers holding a teenie-teenie-weenie chick.

Then I realized it was someone's knees and it all flipped back into perspective.

Hard to say what's up with the mohawk. I have three hens who all have that and they are Cochin/Silkie cross over Barred Rock. Guess you could say Kate, Tux and Olivia all have mohawks, LOL. It's that Silkie blood in there. Here's Kate, then Olivia:

well lets see, i think the ee's came off the egg swap here on byc, harleys girl hatched 2
also hatched at the same time 1 buff polish from perfectly polish that actually ended up being a silverlaced polish a byc trade,12 cuckoo marans from eggbid,std cochins and a white polish from my eggs. so it is possible that it could be a polish from mine, but they always have a crest, interesting mystery

You should see something in one of seminole wind's posts from tonight. She has a Polish/ Jersey Giant cross that looks just like that, complete with mohawk!
