Ok I bought Two EE in the flea market two days ago, they told me that they where young, I was so excited that i did not even care to exam them and well....one of them is leaking from her vent. Have no idea whats wrong! She seems fine she eat and she is very um.....chicken and happy oh by the way I went to feed them this morning and she was eating here egg, (to my surprise) which was soft!!!! so I picked her up and exam her. Her feet are kind old looking in comparison with my 7mo sweaters can someone give me some advise. oh and good morning to everybody

What is she leaking? What does it look like? You might want to give her a warm bath and see if you can gently flush her vent.

Dry her well and give her a crushed Tums. Not Rolaids. Hide the crushed tums in a bit of scrambled egg if you have to.

Are you feeding layer pellets?

Do they have access to chicken grit?

Most important do they have access to crushed oyster shell.

If not get all of the above and you shouldn't have anymore soft egg problems.

Thank you. I did give her a bath. Clean her very good, i did see some green using thing. And her feathers are all nasty looking Should i pull out her bottom feathers near the vent. They dont even look like feathers
