I don't have any pictures but I always make my egg carton a pattern: Brown,white,Brown,white and I put them in a checkered pattern! It's really pretty!

Since I give my extra eggs away, that carton went to my coworker, I don't worry about size much. I haven't started breeding either. I just wanted to have a mixed set of colors. The bigger green egg came from my hatchery EE hen. The small olive ones came from my araucana... I think. Which is a bit disappointing, since she should be laying true blue eggs. My other EE came from the same place as my araucana, and she's an ameraucana/araucana mix... so... she should be laying blue also. Sigh.

Who's giving you those pretty white eggs? I actually had a nice surprise yesterday, my mystery chicken laid her first egg. It was actually green like I was hoping!

The picture shows it as white, but its actually a very very light cream. Its from the gold spangled Hamburg. My silver spangled lays pure white, but she tried to go broody (believe it or not) so she stopped for a bit.
