My egg looks funny

ok so laugh if you want,

ive had these 6 chickens since monday, never had chickens before,

I'm getting 3-6 eggs a day,

this morning i went out and collected and i had one egg thats not smooth,
it has ripples like the viens in your hands/arm all over it,
tried to get a good pic to show it,

is something wrong? or just an egg being different?

You will see several things in home grown eggs that never make it to the grocery store. In most cases, as in this one, the egg is perfectly good to eat. Odd eggs are even more common for the first weeks that a hen lays.

Looks like a body checked egg. It doesn't take much to crack an egg while its still in the process of being shelled. That's one reason factory layers are kept so confined. Just FYI since you just got them, you will probably see your egg production drop off or halt for a few weeks. Stress of moving can cause this so don't be alarmed. The eggs you're getting now were already in the "pipeline" when they were moved.
