Made a manual egg turner that works without opening the incubator. A couple pieces of sheet metal and a coat hanger is all that is involved. Made a tray with 1/2" sides all around the bottom half of an egg carton. A straighten length of cloths hanger was soldered to the bottom and ran through a sheet metal frame. The cloths hanger goes through the incubator wall and is bent at a 90 degree angle. Now when it's time to rotate the eggs, I turn the egg tray 45 degrees to the left or 45 degrees to the right, giving me a 90 degree rotation.
This is my first attempt at hatching eggs and am also very new at caring for chickens. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
