I thought I would share with you my hatching experience. I went to fill the water reserve on day 18, which was yesterday and when I did I noticed three eggs had pips in them. This morning I woke up to one little fluffy butt!

At around noon two started zipping!!!

Literally, two minutes apart they both hatched.

This was my first time hatching in an incubator and so far I couldn't be happier. The chicks are so strong already and seem to be thriving!

Thank you

I'm so proud of my little ones!

The chicks have gotten so big! This was there first day out "free ranging" I am only letting them out on weekends when I can stay home and keep an eye on them. They joined my adult flock at 4 weeks. After the initial pecking from the adult hens they all just kind of ignore each other now. Although, last night I peeked in at them and all four of the babies were cuddled with my two silkies. It was so cute to see.

I also have 6 silkie eggs that are due to hatch in 9 days too!

i trie to always have chicks lol though i just lost a lot of my breeding hens so that slowed down production... i want silkies but i can't get them. Good luck with your chicks!!!
