My eggs are hatching right now!!!!!

What do I do? How long does it take them to actually get out of the egg. Two of them have little holes in them but now nothing, How long do I have to be nervous about them drowning? I feel like a first time mother!!

Usually, you'll have one that will pip, zip and pop out but generally, it will be the next day after they pip to hatch. During this time they are absorbing the yolk sack and getting stronger. It's hard work and they rest alot. If they are not under a broody, make sure your humidity is at least 60% to be on the safe side and leave them alone. Too high of a temp will also cause them to not absorb the yolk properly and stop hatching.
We were all nervous at first. Over time you get used to it.
I am hatching too! Had a staggered hatch by two or three days, that was by accident, and almost gave up. But, last night I checked the three eggs that were left and lo and behold... movement! This am there was one pipped. lets keep each other updated shall we? What are you hatching?

OK I took the incubators out of the greenhouse.

2 Styrofoam- Turbo-Fan Circulated Air incubators.....1 with auto turner

anyone know anything about them?

One is out!! Yippeee!!! I can't believe it.

I think that they are Rhode Is. Reds. But they may be mixed with Plymouth. we just got some eggs from our neighbors. So, it's whatever they have.

I also had one of the late bloomers hatch too, a wee little bantam Buttercup. It will join the two day older one.
