my eggs chirping!!!

He/she has almost pipped. theres a little crack and lots or rolling around! Maybe i will find a chick tomorrow morning...

I can't wait any longer...is there a chick? Hoping so! Post pics if you can!

Yes!! A yellow one! Good size from coming from a pullet egg. The chick is in a bad spot so I can't get a good pic. The chick has been out for a while. It's still a little damp but was trying to get up. Not fluffy yet. The egg looks clean from what I can see, so I guess my temps were okay...

The chick still hadn't technically pipped, but I was tired and went to bed. I missed the action but I have the other eggs. From 1am to 7 am is in accounted for. The chick technically pipped and hatched. And now wants his/her mother. chirping very loud

I will try t get pic of before and after the fluffy makeover. Now to set up the brooder a.k.a cardboard box. Then when the other hatch Saturday the 10th they can all move in to a watermelon box. They work great....

just starting to get a bit fluffy. I put him/her in the brooder because the other eggs were getting rolled around to much. I'm not sure if they were on x or o . I will post pics once fluffy.

If they are with a broody I'd let her raise them. It will be easier on you and help them be hardier chicks. Of course it also,depends on your flock dynamics and weather conditions.
