Apparently my second batch desised to fake me out and all hatch today. Four more are starting to hatch. SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!! I think I'm becoming an addict to hatching chickens and this website. I spent my whole weekend on this and looking at my chicks. LOL

I’ve had great hatches and lousy hatches, both in an incubator and under a broody. Some go so quick and smooth they’re pretty worry free and some drive you nuts. Some are two full days early and some maybe three days late. It’s almost rare if any are right at the21 days. No two are alike.

Awesome! I am glad to hear that you are getting some!! I'm completely addicted to hatching chicks.. I'm on my third hatch (should hatch this coming Sunday). I have a total of 25 chicks from the last 2 hatches. And.. I've got 18 ready to go in after these ones hatch!!

Thats cool. Im starting my own breeding program so ill be hatching a lot of eggs. Cant wait until the final chick pops out!!!!

Oh! If you're like me, you'll always run around like that! I still haven't gotten tired of the excitement! That is interesting about your breeding program. I am hatching chicks like crazy because we want to supply our own chicken for eating.

You guys are giving me hope! My second hatch goes on lock down on Friday, 5 out of 10 eggs made it this far and I am so excited and nervous at the same time! The first hatch came 3 days late and only one chick out of four eggs made it(small hatch on purpose). I started this as something for my 14 year old and I to do together and we are both addicted already, sigh. Hubby wont let me keep the chicks so I end up either giving them to friends or selling them after a few weeks. One day we will move and have enough property that I will put up a coop and he will fall in love just like I did, LOL.
