My eggsperiment

Where do they think those other eggs come from?

Guess they prefer eggs from chickens given antibiotics and hormones.

Nothing is better when cooked with fresh, organic eggs.

Too bad for them.
 
OK, so that makes some sense - the freshness of the eggs made a difference in the recipe, and they didn't want to figure out how to deal with it. It's not an ""OOh, they're gross" thing.
 
That is sooooo true with the 'eggsperiment', fresh eggs hold up in their three layers, stale or shop bought eggs lose those layers hence the white runs all over the pan when fried. A lady I know won't make cakes with fresh eggs, she says ithey don't turn out so well. Give me a fresh egg every time I say. My second Buff Orpington laid her first egg today.

I am sorry to say that I ate it for lunch - it was fantastic!!! YUM!!!!

This year was our first Thanksgiving with hens. I'm always in charge of, among several other things, the pound cake. The family recipe is an old-fashioned pound cake that calls for six eggs. Imagine how fluffy and bright that cake was!
 
I'm not a baker.

I arrived with 4 dozen eggs, as in 48.

Although they used only 3 of my eggs for the pasta dough, I still went home with none...

Breakfast became more important than dinner...
