Hi! Happy to be here! I need som help with my goose! He is 3 years old and suddenly was not eating and 3 days later stopped walking! Even feeding him and giving vitamins and probiotics and shred lettuce with fresh water but today was very shaking. Please, let me know how I can save my baby

I'm going to move this to the Emergency Forum. When you've got time, you can post another New Member introduction.

Do you give your goose any extra niacin besides the general vitamins? I know the legs/feet suffer first from a deficiency, and it could be what's wrong. You can buy nutritional or brewers yeast to mix in his feed. About a tablespoon per cup of feed. You can just sprinkle it on his feed or mix it in if it's an amount he'll eat in a day. Frozen/thawed peas are higher in niacin too and a good treat.

While we wait for goosebaby (she’s Goose expert) This diagnostic chart can help you narrow down a diagnosis - http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/diagnostic chart.htm

Feel around his chest until you find his keel, if it’s jutting out from his body it means he’s very underweight and has been off his food for awhile.

Is there a chance he could have gotten into anything metallic? Like swallowing or chewing on bits of metal, sockets, rounds, wires, peeling paint, etc?

What brand of food is he on?
