Here are some chicks hatched from Chellester's birds. They are growing on me all the time.
They are now about 6 weeks old.

Here are the silkie chicks. We are beginning to think that at least two out of three are roos:

The millie fleur d'uccles. We think that we have a pair here. The one on the left is a cockerel:

Thanks everyone. I am a huge fan of "real" chickens like Orpingtons and Sussex, but these bantams are growing on me all the time. I really like them. The pics of the silkies don't do them justice and the d'uccles are in the ugly stage, but I will keep updating this thread with more pics of them. I also have 12 d'uccle and 16 silkie eggs in the bator right now. I'm doomed.

Hey Buster did you just get a spanking from DLHUnicorn???

Silkies aren't fake chickens they just aren't chickens.

As for the d'uccles well they are just mini-me's.

LCRT and PC- You both crack me up. I laughed right out loud at both those posts. I actually like them better all the time. I originally got the silkies for my MIL and the d'uccles for DW's garden, but I think that I will have to build another building and get more now.
