G’Day from down under Judy :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Hi all,
I have a 20 acre timber farm in Washington. I am widowed, 78 years young take care of this myself. Right now I have 13 laying hens, a mix of Barnavelders, sex links, Red,blue laced wyandotts, Morans, Novogens.
When a hen goes broody and I do not want her to, I put her in a cage inside the barn with a cement floor. It breaks her in about 3 days, cold floor.
I also have a 12 year old lab, Holly and 2 rescue cats.
Just found this forum, as not too good on the computor, but think I will enjoy this.
