5 week old Buff Orpington Rooster to be. Are they typically loud crowers, and are they aggressively territorial ? I want him to stay.
thanks,
Pawster

Depends on the individual rooster, but Buff Orpingtons generally have a reputation for nice temperaments. Larger roosters generally crow louder than smaller ones, but I don't know how loud is too loud for your purpose.

I would suggest giving him a try, and see how it goes--plenty of nice roosters do exist, and also plenty of ones that cause trouble. We usually hear more about the troublesome ones, because that's when people ask for advice :)

My Buff Orpington rooster had a deeper, less shrill & less annoying crow than any out of Leghorn, Sultan, or the Easter Egg rooster who was supposed to be a hen. I kept the nicest one, he was very mellow. I wanted a rooster, so I ordered st. run and kept the best one.
