Young rooster – no crow?

OK y’all! I have a weird question for you guys. I have had roosters that typically crow on time. Is there anyone out there that had a rooster that didn’t crow at all? Or a rooster that has crowed very late? I believe I have a Lavender Orpington rooster due to the hackle feathers, the saddle feathers, and the comb and waddles. No eggs have been laid, but no crowing either. Chicken noises seem scratchy… could he have a “broken” voice? He/she was hatched March 11. Just wanted to get your guys‘s opinion. Thanks.

Roosters can be all over the place with how quickly they mature. I’ve heard of some taking 9 months before they start. With slower growing breeds like Orpingtons it isn’t uncommon to take over 6 months
