He's supposed to be an Ideal 236 layer cross, but I think something is off. The other roo I got out of that same batch of chicks is half his size, and looks like an EE.

How old is he and how fast did he grow? Is he fond of the ladies? I mean will you be expecting some GIANT chicks?

Well...I got him at a day old in mid-February, so he's...6 months old. He only started crowing last week. Haven't seen any mating behavior out of him yet...
I bought him in a batch of 10 straight runs, which ended up containing only ONE FEMALE. Who promptly got eaten by a fox. Sigh.
So all my girls are from a later batch, I'm hoping that's why I haven't seen any "activity" yet.
