My first applique block

I don't know if I did it right, or even if it's technically applique, but I like it. It's a modified version of Sunbonnet Sue. I haven't finished yet, but almost!

Got the top done and I LOVE this one. The colors are all wrong on the computer screen thanks to webcam picture. They are ery bright, baby colors.

wow, great job. I was going to try doing exactly what you did, appliquing something to a charm square then use it in a quilt. Way to go, I think it looks great. You are amazingly fast with picking this up,

Did you cut the Sunbonnet Sue out? I saw some butterflies, bears and other cute little pre-cut appliques in Keepsake Quilting catolog I was going to start with.
 
I remain totally amazed at how fast you are learning to quilt! You go! I find applique hard to do and I think you are doing great.
