My first attempt at hatching my own chicken eggs!

Meet BUFFY 17 hours old very curious and successfully drinking water! I’m trying not to move her out of the incubator until her sibling has hatched. Can only keep her in there so long until I’ll be forced to move her into the brooder area, so hopefully soon .
My rooster is a buff Orpington And the mom my black Austrlorp. I must say beautiful colors. She took a good 18 to 19 hours to hatch but she knew exactly what she was doing! Such a big baby to! once she got a grip on cracking that shell she came flying out!

There’s is another egg going to hatch any day now. Hoping it pips soon! I’ve candled it. Looks about just past day 18. I hoping rather quickly so Buffy here is not so lonely. She’s in the brooder tank now after having her in the incubator for a little over 24 hours and successfully learning how to drink water in there. It’s a bit chilly out here in New York. So I have her in the tank with the lamp in the house and she has our undivided attention till the other egg hatches and she has a companion. pictures below she’s well! And so curious.
