One of my buff orpingtons has been in a nesting box for a few days. Nights too. I checked the box at night thinking
I just hapened to look each time a buff had gone in. So I checked at night. I took an egg out from under her a few days ago. I felt really mean & cruel.

She is still in the box & I don't know how many eggs might
be under her. There is no rooster. What should I do?

I have eggs in the bator due to hatch Saturday. Do you
think I should chance it? Would she need to be segregated
from the flock? Would the other hens bother the chicks?

Thank you for your reply. I could break her but it sure would be nice not to need to brood a few chicks in the house again.
