My first broody momma!

I set some of my silkie eggs under my broody Australorp, not knowing what to expect... she did her job though! Here's the proud mommy.

and here is thier brother or sister who hatched today in my incubator...

I have one more full sibling due today, one tommorrow, and then Sassy Silkies eggs due the day after that! Wahoo! I can't wait to see Jen's eggs hatch

Thanks guys! She was very sweet about not ripping my hand off when I picked her up

I had another chick in my incubator when I got home yesterday. Another grey/blue!

I think the brown one will be patridge, but I don't know. I am new to this whole silkie thing...

Does anyone know, if my rooster is silver birchen, and the hen was black, would those blue/grey chicks be blue or grey?
