Tell me what you think of my 1st build.
The coop is a 4x8 design.
3x4 @3 ft high of (nest area). with 4 nest boxes at 11.5"x11.5"x11.5"
5ftx4ft open feed and roost area.
3ft 4x4's to get it off the ground.

I hope that maybe someone will be interested in this design and I will be happy to list all material. I have a total of $150.00 cash involved an maybe $30 to $50 more of free wood.
The coop as of today has a 75w flood light installed in a corner of nest area which is hard wired in with a light switch under the pen to cut it on and off.
I also have a question if anyone can tell by the pics what type of chicken she is would be helpful as she was hatched at son's school Sept 23, 2008 and are chickens afraid of the dark because this one is. She freaks out when the lights are off.
Plan on raising at least 10 hens and 1 rooster in the Taj.
MY WIFE CALLS THIS THE TAJ MAHAL. cause as of now we only have one hen.
Son named the hen YO'MAMA.
