My First Button Eggs!!

I found 2 eggs from my little buttons today!! Yay!

Are button quail's first eggs ever fertile?...would it be worthwhile to incubate them?

Awwww there so cute,Ide think you could try to incubate them.I have a question though what do you plan on doing with all the button chicks your gonna get?Sell them?And if to who?Sorry I have questions but im just really intrested.

The first thing my BF did with my little button quail eggs is fry them up in a TINY iron skillet and cut a piece of bread into a little square and added 3 little shreds of cheddar on top and went around asking people if they wanted a bite of his egg sandwich! It was hilarious!

Pringle....haven't entirely decided yet... May sell eggs...may sell babies or adults...If I sell birds themselves I will probably do so at a local "reptile" show (mostly reptiles...but a few other things too and not all feeders...).

Those little hens started laying fast and furious, eh?! That's great! I got one egg last week and nothing since from my 7 hens.

I dont think its really cruel,once the snake grabs the animal it gets very frightend and once the coils are around it it passes out.So its not like its feeling all the pain.I dont own any snakes but my brother has one.I think I might feed it any quail chicks that die of disease or just die.I wont feed it live though I find that kinda gross.

just a note...selling them at the show does not necessarily mean that I would be selling them as feeders...like I said, not everything is sold as feeders.

I have nothing against using animals as food for other animals...though I don't approve of live feeding generally. I dont' see how an animal eating another dead animal is any different from us eating steak or chicken or any other meat.

At any rate......up to 9 eggs now!!! They are MACHINES!
