My First Chicken Tractor

Here is my coop which would never have become a reality without massive amounts of construction help from my fantastic Brother-in-law. The coop is 4'x8' and the "girls" love it. They figured out the ladder pretty quick but I am having trouble getting them to sleep upstairs (I have gone out in the dark and placed them upstairs for the last two nights but am hoping they figure it out soon).

That's a sweet looking tractor. My girls' first night with me they didn't want to go into the coop, either... until they got cold. What birds do you have? Two Barred Rock and an Americauna? I love my barred rock. She's so sweet.

One Americauna, one Cuckoo Maran and one Plymouth Rock. I am expecting 3 more chicks this week: an Astralorp, a Speckled Sussex and a Salmon Favorelle. I don't plan on keeping all 6 but purchased extra chicks to make sure the ones I keep are hens and will get along together. I will give the others to my best friend to go with her egg business. I have been dreaming of having my own hens for 20 years. So happy!
