My first chickens

[Bothwell]

This is a picture of my first cockerel, a welsummer named Spider. He was from the second batch of hatching eggs I set; I didn't get any of the first batch to hatch and only Spider hatched from the second. The other picture is of my daughter holding a welsummer pullet, from my third try at hatching (I gor 6 cockerels and 5 pullets). Woot!

That rooster is beautiful. I hope he stays nice. Same for your daughter. I'm sure she'll stay beautiful but the teenage years could test goal number two!

Oh my gosh!!!! Spyder is gorgeous just like his daddy!!!!! And look at that perfect comb!!! Your daughter is quite the cutie, too, even without a comb!!!
