I wanted to show him off because he is a first for me. I feel as though I am learning about chickens all over again with this guy, lol. Each day is some new rooster antic. He isn't suave at all, so the ladies either pick on him or just ignore him.

The only one who likes him is his mate Charlotte. She thinks the moon rises and sets with him and follows him everywhere. I am hoping to hatch some babies from them next spring since I am in love with cochins. He's beginning to figure out that I'm the head rooster, but barely, lol. He hardly crows and stops when I tell him to, which is great! The neighbors are fine with me having him but I do try and keep him locked up till later in the morning. I don't feel all that bad about it though after I heard one this morning a couple streets over that was insanely loud!

I always heard that people get really attached to roosters...now I know why

He's a very handsome boy.
I love roos. They add another whole dimension to the flock. My Thor is goofball, but I love him just the same.

Thank you

He is a little goof ball too. I love to watch him try to be a rooster, lol but feel sorry for him at the same time. He really has no clue what he's doing! And he is just so funny to watch walk around. Since he's black, and with his feathered feet, it looks like he is wearing scuba gear and flippers

Isn't he cute!

I like the way my Puff Daddy acts when he finds something yummy. He wants the girls to crowd around. So he says "cluck cluck cluck" while pecking at the ground, picking up and dropping the food. Sometmes I think he's just bluffing, but it usually brings a few chickens around.

How cute! I love him!

This is my first experience with a roo also. Good luck to both of us!

Hahahaha Blake is lucky if he gets any food. Lol they are not very nice to him. I'm not complaining too much though because while I wanted a rooster, I really didn't want an aggressive one. I like that he is passive and quiet. A town setting is really not a good place for a rooster of any other type!
