So far it looks Awesome.... How soon until its complete
Who knows.
I've just recently picked up a bunch of work so I really can't say. I'd like to at least get the roof shingled and the door set and windows covered with chicken wire so I can get them out of my basement.
Your hen house looks great, but you need to do the girls' house. At least my girls had their house before I made my coop.
I hade to opt for split 2x4s and did not rough frame it as well as yours
The play house is the orange cabin in the background. It is basic split 2x4s with plywood over them. Windows are a simple 4 holes in the plywood with the cross still attached and screen material to keep mosquitos out. It is wide enough to hold a full size cot.
I like you nest boxes. I plan to do mine, only 2, on the solid side [above the 'M'] with my semi-completed coop (85%) shown here. It will be on a hinged door with a hinged lid. I wanted to be able to open the door to have easy access to clean them when needed and to push all the deep liter out the hinged door to the left [back].
But would she rather have a child in the house or a bunch of chicks? LOL. I too would have done coop first. Maybe just a temp. coop, but a coop none the less
That looks great! I can't wait to see the finished product. I had to cover my chicks' eyes...can't have them seeing your coop and suffering from coop envy....
