My first coop. (New pic of todays progress on page 23)

That's going to look nice. I love yellow interiors. The inside of MY house is pale yellow. I plan to make the inside of my future coop the same color. Happy house, happy coop.

Are you going to put down vinyl down on the droping board under the roost?

What type of paint are you going to use on the inside of the coop? Can you just use interior paint or do you have to get something special?

If it stops raining for you, be sure and send some of that "not raining" my way.. I'm desperate to get the roof done and the tarp off so I can keep them outside where they're more comfortable.

I'm going to put vinyl on the droppings board, also thinking about putting a little sand down over the vinyl so I can just sweep the droppings off without the leftover residue.

I've read on here that exterior paint is easier to clean, so i'm going to give that a try.

I'd thought of doing that.. Making like 1/2" or 1" tall sides around the board and filling it with sand.. Then just using a kitty litter scoop to clean it up.

I'd seen one post where someone made a sand pit under the roosts at floor level. They say it worked really well.

I'm waiting until they're more to age before I mess around with building that though. Especially since I'm making the roosts completely movable so I can adjust the height as they grow.
