My first crack at coop building!!!

Lucky for me there was an existing roof with 4x4 posts. All we did was wrap recycled pallets around the posts and use an old pool screen fence. It still in phase 1....

Since I have three distinct breeds, I wanted to pen them all apart to avoid cross breeding. This is what we ended up doing. Still not done though.....

Are you planning on covering the pallets with plywood or osb? If not you may have issues with snakes, weasel, mink or other such smaller predators.

I'll trade you three palm trees for three weeks of cold weather!!! It's 78 right now!!! We are lining the pallets with 2"x2" wire.
I'm going to be keeping Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds and Plymouth Barred Rocks. Since I have a fourth pen, I'll try keeping about three turkeys in that last pen.
Send me some coooold!!!!! (While I sip on a Corona in my flip flops by the pool)

Going to line it with 2"x2" wire mesh. I hope it'll do.

Right now I'll buy as much snow as I could (I wish). This winter we've only had five to six days where the high had dipped into the mid 50's. Christmas Eve it was 86!!!! I hated it.
