I joined a few days ago but before that I have been looking up info on ducks before I purchased my first Muscovy duckling ( which sadly died after three days :'( I think I bought a sick duckling)
So a couple days later I did buy an older duckling which I have named Howard The Duck (from the movie)
I have to say he is a spunky little tyke
I have a tank (20-40 gallons) lined with first bed shavings then switched to towels after he was nibbling on the shavings and was afraid that he would try to eat it and choke on it
I have a little mirror with a bell and two stuffed animals I there with him that he plays with :)
(When I figure out how to post a pic I will)
But for most if the day he is out and about on the couch lined with towels of course
He's out and taking a nap right now as I'm typing this hehe :)
But he liked to sit and cuddle on my chest and snuggle his head under my chin
He also likes to perch on my shoulder and peep as loud as he can and play with my hair
HE IS JUST ADORABLE

And even when he is taking a bath
He LOVES his bath time
Now what he does is when he's finished with his bath is he will tap the sides of the tub and look up at me telling me he's done
Then ill out my hand by him and he'll jump onto it :D
And when I have him on the couch to dry himself off he peeps and peeps quietly and when he's all done and dry he climbs up my chest and nuzzles under my chin to get warmer
I just love him :)
He just like a little toddler I hope to have many more years with him

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Sorry to hear you lost your first duckling :hugs
Congrats on Howard he sure is super cute. I'm not a duck person but no one can say duckling are not the cutest little things. I see you have posted already in the duck section. I'm sure other duck keepers there will be able to help you with any questions that you may have about Howard.

Wishing you the very best of luck in the future and enjoy BYC :frow

Actually it's the button to my controller haha
It's popping out from behind him

Thanks for the welcome :)
He is very adorable
He already knows that the towel is down for him to poop on when he's sitting on the couch
He LOVES squeaky toys and gets all wound up and runs around whenever he hears it
He can jump onto the couch now (with a little assistance sometimes)
I'm trying to get my one dog to be friends with him by letting the dog lay next to Howard but Howard is still a little jumpy but getting better
And he still liked to jump onto people's laps and snuggle
He is just a happy spoiled little duckling :)
