My First Egg and It's Peeeeeerfect! (with pictures)

Congrats... My First Egg was such a grand occasion... no one was home so i shared the happy news with the Dog! (she didn't quite understand but it was a great find!)

We have gotten 7 eggs in 5 days. We now know for sure that the light tan/pink eggs are from our BO and she is laying daily like clock work. Small bantam size eggs (1 1/4 oz) but she is only 20 weeks old (roughly). I believe that the second small, chocolate colored egg (also 1 1/4 oz) we received on Sunday (found it in the dirt) was from our Golden Comet and she laid another today, this time in the coop. I suspect there could be more eggs outside since I doubt she has gone two days without laying, but I haven't found any yet. Yesterday I found a medium sized, medium brown colored egg so now I think we have 3 pullets laying and such a colorful egg basket too.

I am sooooo happy! So much fun not knowing what color/size you are going to find next and guessing who is doing what.

It was soooo funny today. I was at work on the phone with DH when you could hear Goldie (BO) cackling and making a ruckus. He went outside to see what she was fussing about and I could hear her as she walked up to him just squawking like she is yelling at him. He decided to check the coop and found the egg. It's like she was trying to tell him all about it. I don't know who made more noise her squawking about her egg or me squealing when I found that first egg on Saturday.

We have not heard the others bragging in this way yet and when I am home I am constantly watching.
