First egg in about 15 years give or take. The one in the back is real! She laid it right in front of me when I was cleaning poop boards. No egg song.

Can't eat it, they are getting tetracycline.

Shell feels fragile. Oyster shell going in there today, no plans to feed layer. Should I give her anything else?

She's young. I'm not, haven't had chickens for 15 years.

Tetracycline for a wheezy cockerel, vet said treat them all to be safe.

Offering some oysters shell, on the side, is a good idea if you are not feeding her a complete layer feed.

The first few eggs may be thin...give her time to work out the kinks.
Don't stress too much about the first eggs.
