Congrats! I was smiling just like that yesterday when I found my first egg yesterday. Not sure who is responsible either; I have two barred rocks and one light brahma.

I figured it out. It was my Black Australorp. She's sneaky.

Fun! Congratulations! Our Barred Rock laid her first egg at 17wks, and the Buff Orpington followed a few days later --- their eggs are pretty hard to tell apart, I usually know which is which because of the song.
