My first egg!!!!

Just found an egg under the chicken coop!!! I currently have 8 pullets who are all about 21 weeks, 2 little chicks, and 2 silkie hens. Hens have only been here since Wednesday and they’re about 1 yr and 1 yr old respectively. I know the egg must be from one of them but I’m so darn excited!!!!

Yay!!! I have had chickens my entire life...and I still get super excited when my new or young hens start laying hahaha. The feeling never goes away! I'm excited for you!

When new young hens first start laying, sometimes you will get a tiny little egg. That has to be my absolute favorite, and to this day whenever I get one I still bounce around the house and show it to everyone lol. Even though I have had hundreds of them over the years hahaha.

This is my first flock ever! I know the egg is from an older silkie I just got but all the same, it’s my egg!!!

I put the egg right into the incubator (which actually was delivered today!!) in hopes that it’s fertilized!! Cross your fingers for me

And also, it’s definitely a bantam sized egg. I have super small hands lol

That´s awesome! I am a new chicken owner and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first egg!
