My first eggs! and 3 different colors. New Pictures added

I ordered 8 breeds but no EEs now I wish I did, but then I didn't order from Meyer. Wonder if I ordered some next year if I could get rid of the ones I don't have room for.

Yes you can get rid of some of your girls in the spring. You can put them on craigslist. Let them know that they lay eggs and are ready to go and you should get a call pretty quickly. Some people want hens that are laying so they dont have to go through the baby stage.

I was so excited about getting colored eggs that I ordered 4 more EE pullets from meyers and 2 welsummer pullets so that i would have some dark chocolate eggs to go with all the other colors.

Those the only two hens you have? We have an americana and she lays blue green eggs looks like your two. We also have two Buff Orphingtons they lay brown/pinkish eggs.

No, I have 9 EE's. Four of the nine are only 6 weeks old. I also have SLW, RIR, Black Aussies.

We opened our egg box thats attached to the hen house and we seen the EE lay the pink egg so we know its not the BO that we have. The BO is 17 weeks old now, she doesnt even have a red comb yet.

Just wondering but how do you know who laid each egg. Did you watch them? and congrats!

Beautiful eggs! That makes me glad I have 4 EE pullets. They are just about 10 weeks old now so I have some time to get the nest boxes ready.
You have beautiful birds too. I love the beards!

Yes, i am getting lucky. I went out to check for eggs and opened the egg box that is attached outside of the hen house and when i opened the door to check for eggs the hen that laid the pink egg laid the pink egg about 15 seconds after i opened the door. Then Sunflower came out of her nest and there was a mint green egg and then she had one off of the roost the following moring and was directly above the egg on the roost. The olive egg is a guess but we are pretty sure because she was in the top box and she is the only one that we have seen in the top box.

Truly, I am so jealous! My one EE hen is not yet laying eggs and she is 20 weeks old. She is not very big and she's delicate. I hope I get an egg from her soon. Your eggs are lovely.
