Wow I am super proud today!!
I started building the coop on may 10th, finished it on june 1st. I am not a construction girl and never even operated a circular saw before this.. I did it all by myself, I insulted it, etc. Even when it is 30 degrees and sunny, it is cool in the coop.
I've read the BYC articles on ventilation, door sizes, nest boxes, etc. and built the coop according to those infos. Then I went to adopt the white leghorn chickens on sunday, and yesterday night I had three little eggs
They weight around 49g! I guess I did some of it right, if I am getting eggs! They all layed in the same nest.
I am really happy to have found this website. I learned 95% of everything I know about chickens, coop, breeds, etc. on this forum.
Also, I tried to entertain the chicken (and the baby meat chicks) with different foods like noodles, apples, pears, banana, kale. Another tip I've learned here
So thanks everyone for the help on the forum, for the good articles, etc
