MY FIRST EVER CHICK JUST HATCHED 20 MINS ago!!! HELP PLZ

I def don't think it is any kind of robin type bird (robin, crow, etc etc and what have you) since, in my experience, those are born with pinfeathers and game birds/chickens etc tend to be born with the fluffy down. I wish you the best of luck with your baby

If sweet fluffy chick is still alive it probably needs game bird starter since it really looks like a game bird chick. I think you will want to go un-medicated. I hope you already have the cutey eating and drinking on it's own. As for it not walking on it's own, I'm confused, you said it was running in circles and then said it couldn't stand on it's own. If it is not standing on it's own it may be from a leg issue that happened during hatching or is a genetic fault (although I'd bet a hatching problem. Is he or she up on it's pins/hocks with feet straight out in front? Or is it more legs out to the side or back? Far more info is needed to really help with this kind of situation. I hope someone mentored you or you found a wildlife rehab group or person to help you out!

I really ont know what else to tell you it seems everyone has already given you everything you need to know as long as you moved it to a bigger box and it is still moving around and peeping then it should be fine for now...is it drinking on its own yet??? did you find a tractor supply of CO-Op yet? they should have ther right food.. maybe if the store employes are nice you can show them a pic of the little baby and they might be able to tell you what it is.. some people where i live would be able to do that. I wish you and your new born the best! Keep us posted!

Okay, im going to try to help

1... Get a box for it.

2. Put newspaper on the bottem or paper towels... Or pine shavings! NOT cedar! It kills chickens and chicks

3. Go to a farm store or somewhere you think may have chicken supplies.

4. Buy a chick heat lamp, A chick feeder and chick food (Chick starter)... And a chick waterer.

5. Clip the Heat lamp onto your box, Fill the feeder with your chick starter and get some water in the waterer.

Annndd.... You have a chicken brooder!!!

okay well ill give you guys a little update.

The chick is still alive i think i have narrowed it down to a grouse.
It won't eat on its own i have to feed it.
I did drive down to a co-op and got 10lbs of poultry starter for about 5 bucks

I made a new home out of a plastic storage contanier filled the inside with paper towel shavings put both the water and food (but it doesnt eat on its own) I got a 60w bulb in the center and a thermometer glued to the inner wall so i know the temp.

But i have to feed him water thru the dropper. which he doesn't like or else he doesnt eat or drink but when i try to feed him he wabbles his head around to try and dodge the dropper/food.

aS for his walking situation he doesn't really walk he *tries but fumbles around his legs are def. not right cause the stay underneath him as he tries to walk he can't support his weight he looks top heavy:( Sleeps alot but im worried about his eating situation cause i have to feed him and im wondering how much should he be eating at this point in his life.

Sorry about the delay was a little busy
