I went to move them to the hatcher for lockdown tonight...And saw one looking like it had weeped and was no good... Anyway it didnt smell bad- so I put it in the hatcher. After not being able to candle the eggs... It finially got the better of me about an hour later and I took it out - turned it 90 degrees and set it on the top of the bator And watched it jerkily roll around...ITS STILL ALIVE in there... Anyway..it has pipped and now a tiny piece of shell has come away too
I am so excited These are my first Quail...I only have 7 eggs in there...and so far nothing fromthe other eggs.... But hopefully inthe morning i might see something hapening with the other eggs. I must go get the brooder ready... Adjustments need to be made to the height of the lamp for such tiny babies.
