Mine are due to hatch in 2 weeks. Mine are mystery geese...lol. I bought the eggs at auction as goose eggs. So it will be interesting to see what I end up with.
This is my first hatch, but I followed the directions that were posted on a BYC page https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=15806 and so far I've got 3 out of 6 eggs hatched. They are more labor intensive to hatch. U have to cool them, mist them hand turn them. But hatching is almost always rewarding!
Thanks! I'm going to read up on it for a friend of mine. She has geese, but she was just telling me how she never gets any to hatch. I'm going to pass this info on to her. I know for certain she doesn't do ANY of the things you mentioned...so that's the problem I do believe.
