My first gosling! Now there's two!!

SHE'S HERE!!!!! OMG'DESS!! She's beautiful!!! Oh Patty, she's so beautiful!!!

And I couldn't really see her because of where she was so I quickly opened the incubator, snapped a picture and closed it again.

okay I've been up since 5:30 just admiring her. She's just so precious!! I tried to put her in with my Pekin babies and they jumped on her and started beating her up!! Bully ducklings!!

Her brooder is warming up and she's down my nightgown keeping warm. lol I'm glad I'm keeping her. It'd be hard to part with her at this point!

Aww poor thing! It's kinda strange that the ducks and goslings start being bullys so young!

My first goslings were only four days older than my last two that hatched, but they were so big I had to keep the younger ones separate! As soon as I put them in there they started bullying. I wonder if you wait a day or so, and when she is fully "awake" if she could handle them?
If not, I'm sure she won't be lonley!I am so glad you are going to keep her! It breaks my heart knowing that one day I will have to part with these five!

Congrats! Hoping to be incubating a couple of these cuties myself soon. From what I've read the girls are darker than boys at hatch, so it is looking like she is a she.

Ahhh, but remember if she is a white gosling then she is a she, but if she is a saddleback she may be a he! 50/50 on the saddleback. Gander is white, goose is saddleback. Mine are getting pretty light, and I'm thinking I may have a white female after all!

Eta: I keep going back and just staring at her picture! She is so pretty! They grow so fast, mine look like little dinos!

You're right Patty! I was jumping to conclusions. Would need a clearer picture and one that shows her legs.... It seems she may have some coloring on her beak, just can't tell. More pics of that little cutie Laurie when you can put her down for a minute!
