That's what I'm thinking!BYM, the comb is wrong for BCM, as are the clean legs if all of your other marans chicks have feathered legs.

Chick ID help-- do you think this is a black copper marans, or a one of my BYMs? Could it be a silver laced Wyandotte Roo x Black Australorp hen? From what I can tell, my other BCMs have feathered legs and feet. This one is bare.

MY BABY SAFFRON I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE OK I'm sorry I wasn't here for you when you were trying to hatch! I thought you were already out!!When I got home from work this morning, she was still kind of sticky so I left her in the brooder for now. She was standing up and chirping. I'm hoping she'll be just fine once I get her out with her herb siblings.
Here's my baby tax for the morning! Later today or tomorrow I plan to look at all of them very closely and get better pictures. View attachment 4309916View attachment 4309917View attachment 4309918
I'll take a pic of Saffron later! Still a little bit sticky and crusty from the hatch, but alive and well. I had to help the zipping process along. I think maybe the egg had a pip that I couldn't see, and I removed the already hatched chicks after Saffron had already pipped, so she got shrink wrapped.MY BABY SAFFRON I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE OK I'm sorry I wasn't here for you when you were trying to hatch! @talkinboutchickens Saffron is the baby closest to the camera on the right. Not as fluffy as the other babies because of the sticky shrink wrapping hatch she went through, but she's doing fine
Saffron is doing great!!Here is Saffron, the last chick to hatch and the one that I had to help. View attachment 4310957View attachment 4310958
