My first hatch! (PICS)

I'm sooo excited, Friday night we had our first pip and then last night our first real hatch!

I also helped one hatch out (you can read about that and us talking about being chicken parents at my 10 year reunion at: http://freelance4hirephotography.blogspot.com/ )

Here our a couple of pics. They are silkie babies. I'm guessing they change colors as they grow--cause I've never seen a silkie with racing stripes!

We've got a bunch more waiting to hatch this week!

They're adorable!! The ones with "racing stripes" will be partridge colored...if mine are anything to go by! I'm putting eggs in the bator tomorrow...yay!

Ok, how about the yellow ones, what color will they be?

One of them has yellow and like a black dot on the back of his head!

And one of the black ones had dark red tinges to him.

The parents were:
White male
and either a red hen or a splash hen.
