My first hatch

Hi, long time lurker, new chicken owner. I’m starting this hatch a long as I’m waiting for my eggs to hatch and I need to do something to contain my excitement (and prevent me from checking on my eggs so much).

I incubated 4 silkie eggs prior to this hatch and they were all duds (Yolkers and early quitters). I was really disappointed and thought it was all my fault until I got this new batch of eggs. I set 20, and just put 18 in lockdown! Here are some pictures and videos I have of the candling so far. Will update as they progress!
