I had one of my barred rock girls go broody, and since I have no rooster and she seemed so determined to set, I got a few eggs from a neighbor. She gave me a few egger eggs and some others probably a hienz variety, but I don't really mind. I thought this would be a good experience for my grandchildren. We had a small coop we were not using, so we fixed it up for her. We put the eggs in the nest and after dark placed her on the eggs, it didn't take her very long before she setteled in on the eggs. Were excited about it and are hoping for good luck. Shes on 13 eggs, so we will see what happens. Her timing is great, as they should hatch just before Easter
