My first incubation thread

As long as it doesn't go higher, I'd leave it sit to go down on its own. When it starts doing that, though, it's best to keep an eye on it, as it's dissipating to the point where it may keep going lower than you want.
It did exactly that overnight 😭

Woke up and humidity was at 15%. Its on the rise now, but not having it rise too rapidly. Will the overnight fiasco harm anything?

The reviews I read didn't mention humidity fluctuations... Ugh.

It's okay, as you caught it. As long as it's not that for like a day, a few hours won't hurt. You'll get to know about what times it needs water added and how much.

Day 4. Quitter or not fertile? Or should I leave it in longer? The other day 4 looks like it is developing.

Questionable day 4-

Good looking day 4-

The suspicious egg looks to have a tad more veins today. But still no embryo.

Do I leave it in the incubator? Today is day 4 for it.

Candled again this morning on day 8 of this egg. I'm still not sure what to do. @Debbie292d may I please bother you for some wisdom?

The moving embryo is at the bottom. But the flip side of the egg has this non moving air pocket. Will that make the chick not be able to develop?

Embryo is the dark shadow at the bottom-

From bottom to the top- embryo, veins, air pocket.

Lock down begins today! One egg is a'rockin!!
I expect the rest to follow soon.

The funky air sac egg is still funky, but not detached or saddled. Just to the side of the egg instead of at the end of the egg. The chick is developing at a decent rate.
