I am gettin 6 silver appleyard eggs to hatch because my gold brahma has gone broody and as this is my first incubation I have no clue. Can I put the eggs under the hen and will she just hatch them and then do I put the ducklings under an infrared light but for how long thanks
;);)

As long as she has been broody for a few days. sometimes my girls will act broody for a day or two and then snap out if it. She may leave nest after you put eggs under her, but she will return if truly broody

is the eggs are shipped, I think they say to let them rest a day or two on counter, pointy end down..I do not order eggs......your hen will probable accept them if you (at night) take out hers 0ut and add yours.....you do not want to add to hers because hers will hatch before the new eggs and if 3 day diff. she will leave nest to tend to the chicks that have to eat on 3rd day... hope this helps.

wait she doesnt have fertile eggs she just sits on eggs laid throughout the day. but i am ordering some lights sussex eggs instead. oh ye and im getting them delivered will they b ok on the journy and r they kept warm on the journey
