Sad news

How many more do you have ready to hatch?

I know.

I have about 14 eggs incubating but at the rate its been going
I'm certainly not counting my goslings before they hatch.

Well, I hope you have 14 new babies!

I have a friend's goose sitting on eggs for me.....I do NOT think I could handle it if it was at my house and I had to see them being lost. I am safer having my friend's goose hatch my eggs!

btw - those are my horses and the are all rideable! The Black one is my regular ride and the brown and white one is my spouse’s the Yellow mare is a hot momma so she is not rode as much (too much work

Yeah I'm having a crappy year to... Still have several in the bator and keep adding more weekly but seems they just never move their head up to pip... Out of 100 eggs incubated I think 99% were fertile and 90% made it to within a day or two of hatching and just never raised their head up and just died haed down so close to hatching. Had about 30 eggs hatch so far this spring which is just about 30% hatch rate and that was at the beginning of spring... Had a great first hatch and then lucky if a couple hatch out ok... SUCKS!!!! Hoping it picks up soon and that I have better hatches next year....

What a beautiful bunch of geese and I love the baby picture. I have 2 two month old white sebbies. I've seen pictures of the different colors but I don't know what a "buff" looks like. That one I haven't heard of. Do you have a picture?

Jordan Family...30% is pretty good.
I wouldn't feel bad about that.
Waterfowl are harder to hatch out than chickens.
I've read to expect about a 30 - 50% failure rate.
